Expansion into health insurance
Roojai targets a bigger share of Thailand's motor insurance market while expanding into health insurance and regional markets after a decade of profitable growth, says Mr Faquet.
Online insurer Roojai has unveiled an ambitious growth strategy for 2030, betting on artificial intelligence (AI), new health insurance products and regional expansion to strengthen its position in Thailand's increasingly competitive insurance market. The company aims to increase its share of Thailand's motor insurance market to 6% by 2030 while broadening its presence in Indonesia and expanding beyond motor insurance into health and other personal insurance products.
The strategy is supported by the launch of private medical insurance and continued investment in electric vehicle (EV) and travel insurance as Roojai seeks to become a leading personal insurer in Southeast Asia, said Nicolas Faquet, chief executive and founder of Roojai Group.
The company is marking its 10th anniversary, having evolved from an online insurance broker in 2016 into a fully licensed insurer operating in both Thailand and Indonesia.
