Berlin has hosted every VCT EMEA regional final since the league’s inception. That streak ends in August 2026, when Riot Games plants its trophy ceremony on Spanish soil for the first time.
The VCT EMEA Stage 2 Finals are scheduled for August 28 through 30 at the Olímpic Arena in Badalona, a venue sitting in the Barcelona metropolitan area with a capacity of roughly 12,760. The winner walks away with a share of a $250,000 prize pool and, more importantly, a berth at VALORANT Champions 2026.
What changed and why it matters
The original plan pointed to Madrid. At some point between announcement and execution, Riot pivoted to Barcelona.
