VCT CN reveals details for 2027 circuit including multiple events

Riot Games is blowing up the playbook for competitive VALORANT in China. The VCT CN 2027 circuit will feature a completely revamped structure built around tournaments rather than a traditional league format, incorporating rivalries that span from domestic Chinese competition to broader Asian and international stages.

The shift is part of a larger global overhaul of the VALORANT Champions Tour, which will move to an all-tournament model featuring over 20 events annually across more than 16 cities worldwide.

How the new VCT CN structure works

China’s competitive VALORANT scene will operate under what Riot is calling a “Visitor Team Model.” This is distinct from how other regions will function within the broader 14-region framework.

The setup includes eight directly partnered teams that form the backbone of the circuit. On top of that, two visitor team slots and open qualifiers inject fresh blood into every competition cycle.
