Kaizer Motaung Jr, Kazier Chiefs sporting director unveiling top profile signing Langelihle Phili, who is reportedly adapting quickly at Naturena.
KAIZER Chiefs captain Brandon Petersen has backed his new, young teammate Langelihle Phili to hit the ground running at Naturena after his high-profile switch to the Soweto giants from Stellenbosch recently.
"Phili is settling in well. For me, to see a younger player settle in so well so early, it's a good sign. You know when players come to the team (Chiefs), especially the younger ones, it takes them a bit of time before they settle," said Petersen during an MTN8 press conference ahead of the weekend's quarter-finals.
"I think with him, I watched him and I was like, 'Okay, he's fine. Good to go.' Just from the fact that when he stepped onto the field, there was no need for anyone to hold his hand.
"With him, it was like he's always been there. You know, that's always a good sign. That gives me confidence that it is not going to take a long time for him to find his feet."
