Although the property benefited from a sought-after location close to transport links and local amenities, its interior told a very different story.The presenter immediately noticed the home's dated appearance, pointing out textured ceilings, ageing electrics and an old-fashioned bathroom on the ground floor.‌"Straight into your hallway, very neat," she said. "You've got textured ceilings, dated electrics. To my left, there is a full bathroom. That's dated, that needs to go."Her verdict on the kitchen was equally frank, as she told viewers: "The place is so dated. It really is. The size is not too bad, rip it all out and start again."‌However, Jacqui's biggest criticism came after heading upstairs. In the smallest of the three bedrooms, she discovered the property's boiler. Noticing that there was a boiler in the bedroom, the presenter immediately stated that she was not a "fan" of the boiler in that location.She then revealed what she believed was the most disappointing aspect of the house: "What is disappointing is that there isn't a bathroom up here."Article continues belowOver the last 23 years, Homes Under the Hammer has showcased a number of homes that are in desperate need of repair. In 2024, presenter Martin, who has hosted the show since it first began in 2003, told The Sun: "In that time I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly."We have gone through four or five financial crises where people say, ‘Property is doomed. It’s going to implode. We’re all going to lose our money'.
