ILOILO CITY — The city government will temporarily restrict the sale and public consumption of alcoholic beverages within a 500-meter radius of Central Philippine University (CPU) as part of preparations for the 2026 Philippine Bar Examinations.

Mayor Raisa S. Treñas signed Executive Order No. 076, which covers Sept. 5-6, Sept. 8-9, and Sept. 12-13, corresponding to the eve and examination days of this year’s Bar examinations.

The order aims to ensure a peaceful, orderly, and secure environment for thousands of law graduates who will take the Bar exams at CPU, one of the Supreme Court’s designated local testing centers.

Under the executive order, the temporary regulation on the sale and cinsumption of alcoholic beverages applies within a 500-meter radius of the university throughout the specified dates.
