Residents from Ondipudur in Coimbatore have sought the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam government to issue a Government Order for a road over bridge (RoB) at level cross 3 at Surya Nagar.Over a hundred members of the public, led by V. Deivendran, coordinator of the Federation of Ondipudur Residents’ Welfare Associations, Sivalingapuram Residents’ Welfare Association president V. Chockalingam and secretary S. Subramanian, gathered at the sub post office at Ondipudur on Wednesday.They sent their long-pending demand in post cards addressed to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. The residents wanted the government to allocate the required fund for the bridge construction.The residents also wanted a resolution passed in the Coimbatore Corporation council meeting to construct the RoB at the level crossing and to expedite the project work, considering public welfare and as a permanent solution to traffic congestion.
