Ligand stock slipped early Thursday after the royalty powerhouse reported adjusted earnings of $2.37 per share on $63.7 million in second-quarter sales. On average, analysts polled by FactSet expected Ligand Pharmaceuticals (LGND) to earn $1.95 a share on $60.9 million in sales.
