QuickSwap is asking its token holders to approve a pretty dramatic reshuffling of the money. The decentralized exchange, which operates across multiple EVM chains including Polygon and Base, has put forward a Snapshot governance vote that would temporarily redirect 80% of protocol revenue toward expansion efforts, up from the current 20% that flows to the QuickSwap DAO.
The vote is live now and closes on August 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM UTC. If approved, the new revenue split would last approximately 90 days before reverting to its original structure.
What the proposal actually changes
Right now, the QuickSwap DAO retains 20% of applicable protocol revenue. The proposal would flip that ratio on its head, pushing 80% of revenue toward expansion initiatives for the roughly 90-day window.
The mechanics here are straightforward. $QUICK holders vote through Snapshot, the off-chain governance tool that’s become standard across DeFi. No gas fees, no on-chain complexity. Just connect your wallet and pick a side.
