A Limpopo grandfather is expected to appear in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court for the rape of his granddaughters.
The 74-year-old man was arrested by members attached to the Seshego Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit.
The provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, said the granddaughters are five and eight years old.
“According to information, the suspect, who resides with the victims, raped them separately this year (2026). The matter was reported to the police. The suspect, who is the grandfather, was arrested at his residence on Monday evening, August 3, 2026, following police investigations,” Ledwaba said.
