Mpumalanga crime operation leads to arrest of four suspects for illegal firearms, explosives and drugs.
Police in Ritavi, under the Mopani District, Limpopo have arrested a 49-year-old man from Mokgolobotho Village for allegedly raping his 16-year-old daughter, including an incident on July 27.
The matter came to light in May when a pastor at a local church was approached by a church member who reported concerns that her husband had allegedly been sharing a bed with their daughter, claiming he was assisting her with schoolwork.
The pastor then spoke directly to the teenager, who allegedly disclosed that her father had been raping her for some time but had never reported the abuse.
The matter was reported to police on July 30. The teenager was taken for a medical examination, while members of the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit from Tzaneen traced and arrested the suspect.
