The main round of the Samoa Open teed off Wednesday at the Faleata Golf Course, with golfers from Samoa and overseas competing in one of the country's biggest sporting events.
Players gathered at the course early in the morning to warm up ahead of the 9 a.m. start, while board members of Samoa Golf Incorporated were on hand to support the competitors.
Family members and supporters also turned out in large numbers as the tournament officially got underway.
Several players who took part in Wednesday's round won't be playing for Thursday's round.
Among the international competitors is Fijian professional golfer Rohit Chandra, who is competing in the Samoa Open for the first time.
