Newcastle United is drawing a hard line in the sand this summer, and Lewis Hall is standing behind it. The club has made clear to interested parties, Manchester United chief among them, that the 21-year-old left-back is not available at any price that realistically exists in the current market.
What Newcastle is actually saying
Newcastle values Hall at £60 million, and his contract runs through 2029. That combination gives the club significant leverage, and they are using it.
The math here is straightforward. A club that has already lost Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali in the same window is not going to hand over its starting left-back to a direct competitor without an extraordinary argument for doing so.
Hall originally arrived at Newcastle from Chelsea on loan in 2024 before the deal was made permanent.
