The former Celebrity Big Brother star reportedly worried fans with concerning behaviour while broadcasting live.‌Local police are said to have received "multiple" emergency calls over the welfare of the 48-year-old. Clips taken from the TikTok live show Perez covered in what appears to be blood while also brandishing a knife.‌Local police officers are said to have spoken with family members at the scene and it was later confirmed that Perez had been inside the property alone before they decided to "tactically disengage" while reviewing the situation.‌Now, broadcasting standards regulator Ofcom have offered a fresh insight into the matter, with a spokesperson telling The Mirror: "We are aware of serious concerns raised about self-harm content on TikTok.‌"We have made urgent contact with TikTok to understand the steps it has taken to comply with its legal duties to protect users, including children."Earlier this year, Ofcom launched an investigation into whether TikTok is complying with its duties to protect children from encountering harmful content on its service.A spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Sheriff's office said: "In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritise de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication.‌"Unless there is an immediate threat to others, slowing the situation and utilising crisis intervention techniques can reduce the likelihood of a suicide-by-cop encounter and minimise the risk of injury to the individual, deputies, and the public."It later emerged that Perez had been "safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention."‌Officers from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Crisis Response Unit and Licensed Mental Health Professionals stayed present on the scene and were "providing support and resources to the individual's family."The video, which the Mirror are choosing not to show, has since been removed from the platform, and Perez's TikTok account has been suspended by the platform.In a statement to TMZ, Perez's spokesperson said: "We are aware of the concerning content circulating online involving our client, Perez Hilton.Article continues below"At this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him. Our primary concern is Perez's health and well-being, as well as his family's well-being.
