According to Bloomberg, Blackstone has been sounding out investors in preliminary talks about a potential second major debt financing tied to Anthropic's consumption of Google $GOOGL chips. One initial proposal set the figure at $36 billion, which would surpass the $35 billion deal that Apollo Global Management and Blackstone completed roughly two months ago.
The terms of any agreement — including its total amount, how it would be organized, and who would front it — have not been settled and remain subject to change, per people who spoke on condition of anonymity.
