Residents of Durban's Bluff area could breathe a sigh of relief once the Integrated Freight and Logistics Strategy (IFLS) comes into play in the eThekwini Municipality.
Addressing a council meeting in July, Ward 66 Councillor Zoë Solomon said this strategy could ease truck congestion in the Bluff, Bayhead and Durban South areas.
The IFLS and its 2026 action plan were prepared by the eThekwini Transport Authority (ETA), together with the key strategic programmes proposed for implementation. The ETA updated the 2013 strategy to complement the municipality's Comprehensive Integrated Transport Plan (CITP) by providing a co-ordinated strategic framework for freight and logistics planning.
