Spotify just hit a number that would make most tech CEOs weep tears of joy. The streaming platform crossed 300 million premium subscribers in Q2 2026, a milestone that cements its dominance in a market where everyone from Apple to Amazon has been trying to eat its lunch for years.
The company grew from 293 million paid subscribers in Q1 2026 to surpass the 300 million mark, while total monthly active users reached 777 million.
The numbers behind the milestone
Spotify’s Q2 2026 revenue came in at €4.8 billion, which translates to roughly $5.52 billion. That represents a 14% increase compared to the same period last year.
Subscriber growth hit 9% year-over-year despite those price hikes across several regions.
