Patrick Dlamini
The High Court has declared the precautionary suspension of the Chief Executive Officer of the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) Patrick Dlamini unlawful and invalid, effectively clearing the way for the executive's reinstatement.
In a judgment handed down on Tuesday after considering an urgent application by the suspended executive, the court found that the suspension had no legal force or effect.
In its conclusion, the court held that Dlamini's suspension was "unlawful, invalid, and of no force or effect". It further found that applications by third parties seeking to intervene in the proceedings lacked merit and should be dismissed.
The court accordingly declared the precautionary suspension notice, which had been issued to the applicant on 13 July 2026, unlawful and invalid.
