GRVT completed its token generation event on July 30, launching 1 billion GRVT tokens into the wild. The community response has been, let’s say, mixed.
The hybrid exchange allocated 28% of its total supply to community rewards and airdrops, up from an initial target of 22%. The catch is that those tokens are locked behind a 12-month vesting schedule that parcels out access in chunks, starting with 40% at TGE, then 20% increments at months four, eight, and twelve.
The unlock math
The initial unlock released roughly 11.43% of total tokens to users, translating to a circulating supply of approximately 114 million tokens. At current trading prices between $0.26 and $0.27, that puts the circulating market cap in the neighborhood of $30 million.
The next scheduled unlock is August 29, followed by another on November 29. Each of those events will release an additional 20% of airdrop allocations to eligible holders. In English: if you were allocated 10,000 GRVT, you got 4,000 at launch, and you’ll receive 2,000 more at each subsequent checkpoint over the next year.
