Coinbase has announced it will support deposits for GRVT, the native token of hybrid on-chain trading platform Grvt. The deposits will go live once the asset issuer unlocks token transfers, a step that typically precedes full trading support on the exchange.
The move places Coinbase among a growing list of exchanges positioning themselves to offer GRVT trading. KuCoin is set to begin GRVT/USDT trading on July 30, 2026, and Bybit has also signaled its involvement with the token.
What is Grvt and why does Coinbase care
Grvt operates as a non-custodial, hybrid platform that blends on-chain infrastructure with the kind of trading experience you’d expect from a centralized exchange.
The platform offers perpetual futures trading across multiple asset classes, including crypto, equities, and commodities. It also features a unified balance system for yield-bearing collateral, which means users can put their idle capital to work while maintaining margin positions.
