The Feuds. The Fallout, Beckham's commercial income is expected to hit around £125 million next year, surpassing what is already forecast to be his highest-earning 12-month period to date.‌Alison writes that the 51-year-old has enjoyed a huge boost during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where his face has featured prominently in a string of major advertising campaigns. Brands including Home Depot, Ninja Kitchen, Stella Artois, Pepsi, Verizon, Bank of America, Lay's, Walkers and McDonald's have all used Beckham in global promotions throughout the tournament.The commercial success comes despite a challenging year personally, with ongoing reports surrounding a public rift involving his eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham.‌Beckham's remarkable financial rise has taken him a long way from his upbringing in Leytonstone, east London. Alison writes that his father, a gas fitter, reportedly once borrowed £130 so Beckham could attend a summer football camp.Today, Forbes lists Beckham as a billionaire in US dollars, while The Sunday Times Rich List estimates he and wife Victoria Beckham have a combined fortune of around £1.185 billion. Their Major League Soccer club, Inter Miami, has also been valued at around £2.5 billion.A major turning point, according to Alison, came after Beckham joined Real Madrid, when former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller helped reshape his commercial career.‌Rather than simply securing sponsorships, Fuller focused on building Beckham into a global brand, landing increasingly lucrative partnerships, including a lifetime Adidas agreement reportedly worth around £115 million.In an excerpt from her book, published in The Times, Alison wrote: "Soon, he secured a £40 million deal with the razor giant Gillette, including £3 million upfront. It was also linked to Beckham’s nascent football academy project, which meant that he could legitimately ensure Real Madrid didn’t see any of the money (despite the clause in its contract with him entitling it to a percentage of some commercial deals)."‌Beckham's 2011 underwear collaboration with H&M, which launched in more than 40 countries and aired during the Super Bowl, further elevated his global profile.Reflecting on the strategy earlier this year, Fuller said: "It was my singular focus to build a brand for David that transcended where he came from and spoke to people all over the world.
