The alarm goes off. Before the day has even started, there is already a list in your head.

There are children to get ready, lunches to pack, deadlines to meet, messages to answer and a parent who needs checking on.

Perhaps there is a long commute ahead, a difficult conversation at work or a household that somehow still needs running when you get home.

For many South African women, being busy is simply part of life.
