MANILA, Philippines – The House prosecution panel will continue its direct examination of the confidential funds used by the Office of the Vice President (OVP) in 2023 on Tuesday, the 12th day of Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial.
The trial will pick up where it left off on Monday with Commission on Audit (COA) auditor Roderick Wamil at the witness stand verifying and making observations on the documents submitted after the use of confidential funds by the OVP in 2023.
Wamil, who previously served as a COA-Intelligence and Confidential Funds Audit Office (ICFAO) auditor, was among those who audited Duterte’s confidential funds not only in the OVP, but also in the Department of Education (DepEd) when she was secretary.
