MANILA, Philippines – Undated and late acknowledgement receipts (ARs) worth almost P29 million were issued by the Office of the Vice President (OVP) to prove its disbursements of the P125 million in confidential funds, according to a prosecution witness.
At the continuation of Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial on Monday, state auditor Roderick Wamil focused on the P125 million secret funds that were allotted to the OVP from December 21 to 31.
The amount was part of the total of P612.5 million in confidential funds that were released to the OVP and the Department of Education, which she previously headed.
