Romanian company Nuclearelectrica is importing electricity from Ukraine to cover a power shortfall after Unit No. 1 of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant had to be shut down.

Details: The reactor was shut down due to the exceptionally low water levels in the River Danube caused by drought. According to the company, the stability of Romania's power system is at risk.
