Non-banking finance company Sundaram Finance on Monday reported robust growth in the quarter ended June 2026 (Q1FY27) on the back of increased lending and operational efficiencies.Consolidated net profit for Q1FY27 rose 34 per cent year-on-year to ₹636 crore from ₹475 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.Consolidated reveue from operations increased to ₹2,644 crore during the quarter, compared with ₹2,349 crore a year ago.Total disbursements grew by 22 per cent to ₹8,947 crore in Q1FY27. Assets under Management (AUM) grew 17 per cent to ₹62,275 crore as of June 2026.On a standalone basis, net profit closed at ₹522 crore, up by 22 per cent over Q1FY26. Net interest income (NII) grew by 19 per cent to ₹925 crore in Q1FY27 from ₹781 crore in Q1FY26.Asset quality improved.The gross and net NPA, as per RBI’s asset classification norms, are 2.28 per cent and 1.35 per cent respectively in June 2026 as against 2.66 per cent and 1.71 per cent as of June 30, 2025.“Q1FY27 opened with stronger demand than Q1FY26, despite a more complex macro backdrop marked by West Asia tensions, higher energy and commodity prices, supply-chain disruption and monsoon uncertainty,” Harsha Viji, Executive Vice-Chairman, Sundaram Finance, said, in a statement.Rajiv Lochan, MD, Sundaram Finance, said, “Q1FY27 has been an encouraging quarter, with Sundaram Finance delivering stronger growth, improved asset quality and resilient profitability. The operating environment is turning more supportive for growth, even as key external monitorables such as geopolitical uncertainty and monsoon shortfalls remain.”The consolidated results of SFL include the results of its standalone subsidiaries Sundaram Home Finance, Sundaram Asset Management and joint venture company Royal Sundaram General InsuranceThe asset management business closed the quarter ended June 30, 2026 with AUM of ₹90,089 crores (around 80 per cent in equity) and consolidated profits at ₹51 crore as against ₹45 crore in Q1FY26. Royal Sundaram reported a Gross Written Premium (GWP) of ₹1,380 crore compared to ₹1,289 crore in the previous year. The company reported net profit of ₹135 crore for Q1FY27 as against a profit of ₹127 crore in Q1FY26. Sundaram Home Finance disbursements grew 10 per cent to ₹1,643 crore in Q1FY27. The profit for Q1FY27 was ₹85 crore, against ₹62 crore in Q1FY26.Published on August 3, 2026
