Bajaj Finserv on Friday reported a 12% year-on-year (YoY) rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 3,132 crore for the first quarter of FY27, compared with Rs 2,789 crore in the same period last year. Following the earnings announcement, shares of the company gained over 5%.The company’s revenue from operations grew19% YoY to Rs 42,037 crore, while interest income rose over 18% YoY to Rs 22,362 crore.Bajaj Finserv said Bajaj Finance’s total customer franchise increased by 51 lakh and the number of new loans booked rose by 161 lakh in the first quarter of FY27. Bajaj General, meanwhile, saw a 11% growth in gross written premium to Rs 5,789 crore. Excluding bulky tender-driven crop, government health business growth stood at 10%. Bajaj Life, meanwhile, recorded a sharp growth of 87% in the value of new business, in line with its strategy of sustainable and profitable growth, despite the impact of non-availability of GST credit in the current quarter, Bajaj Finserv said.Among its emerging businesses, Bajaj Asset Management, which was formerly known as Bajaj Finserv Asset Management, saw its assets under management (AUM) at Rs 31,444 crore as of June 30, 2026. BFS continues to focus on growing its emerging businesses, which include Bajaj Finserv Health and Bajaj Finserv Direct. Bajaj Asset Management and Bajaj Alternate Investment Management. Losses from these businesses for Q1 FY27 were Rs 130 crore, as envisaged,” the company added.Bajaj Finserv share priceShares of the company rallied over 5% to trade at Rs 2,008 apiece after the release of the results. The stock has gained 7% in a week and 14% in a month, but is down 2% in 2026 so far.In the longer term, Bajaj Finserv shares gained 3% in one year, and delivered returns of 25% over three years and 41% over five years.
