Aug. 3 (UPI) -- The Chicago White Sox agreed to trade minor league pitchers Gabe Davis and Zach Franklin for New York Mets relief pitcher Huascar Brazoban.
Sources told ESPN, MLB.com and The Athletic about the agreement Monday morning.
Brazoban, 36, was 5-2 with a 2.56 ERA over 46 appearances this season. The right-handed pitcher was 17-10 with a 3.49 ERA over the first 214 appearances of his MLB career. He is signed through this year and eligible for arbitration in 2027.
Davis, 22, was a fifth-round pick by the White Sox in the 2025 MLB Draft. The right-handed pitcher was 0-5 with a 5.81 ERA over 18 minor league appearances this season.
Franklin, 27, was a 10th-round pick by the White Sox in the 2023 MLB Draft. The right-handed pitcher was 2-2 with a 4.37 ERA over 33 appearances this season for the Triple-A Charlotte Knights. He was 12-9 with a 3.46 ERA over the first 129 minor league appearances of his career.
