August 3, 2026 — 9:53pmTwo riders have been injured after being bucked from a camel during a popular tour on Broome’s Cable Beach.In vision posted on social media, one person can be seen falling from the saddle of a camel at the popular Broome beach, before falling to the sand.A WA Country Health Service spokesperson said a man and woman in their 60s were transported to Broome Hospital around 5pm on Saturday following the incident.As of Monday, one patient has been discharged, while the other is in a stable condition.In a statement, a Shire of Broome spokesperson said camel tours are a longstanding and much-loved part of the Broome experience, and incidents like this are rare.“Broome continues to be a safe and welcoming destination, offering unique experiences enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year,” the spokesperson said.“Our thoughts are with those injured in the incident, and we wish them a speedy recovery.”From our partners
