The six-year-old was found with serious injuries on Fosse Way near Moreton Morrell.‌The incident took place on Fosse Way between the turning for Compton Verney and the Five Ways roundabout near the B4100 Banbury Road.‌Paramedics treated the girl for head injuries at the scene and she was taken to hospital where she sadly died on Saturday morning. Her family is now being supported by specially trained officers, said Warwickshire Police.It is understood that while shaken by the tragedy, nobody else involved in the accident was injured, reported CoventryLive.‌An investigation is now underway and officers have appealed for anyone with dashcam footage or who was driving along the B4455 at the time of the crash to get in touch.A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: “A child has sadly died after a collision on the Fosse Way near Moreton Morrell. As part of our ongoing investigation, we are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or who was driving along the B4455 around 5pm on Friday to come forward.“We were called to a report of a collision involving the drivers of a tractor and a VW Tiguan on the stretch of road between the turning for Compton Verney and the Five Ways roundabout near the B4100 Banbury Road. Officers attended along with West Midlands Ambulance Service, who took a six-year-old girl with serious head injuries to hospital.Article continues below“Sadly, she died the following morning, and her family is being supported by specially trained officers. Enquiries are ongoing, and we are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has footage of it.
