Since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have launched 52 attacks against the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The heaviest fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk direction, while Russian troops are also maintaining high activity in the Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk directions.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook in its operational update as of 16:00 on Sunday, August 2.
Russian forces carried out artillery shelling of the border settlements of Korenok, Neskuchne, Sopych, Ryzhivka, Volfyne, Budky, and Malushyne in the Sumy region, as well as Senkivka in the Chernihiv region. The enemy also launched airstrikes on Ulanove and Sumy.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropped four aerial bombs, and launched 38 attacks, including one using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
