CALASIAO, Pangasinan—A 74-year-old woman and her two sons were wounded in a stabbing that erupted during a family altercation inside their home shortly before midnight on Saturday (Aug. 1) in Laoac, Pangasinan.
According to a Pangasinan police report, a 42-year-old man, who was allegedly intoxicated, arrived home and confronted his mother, who was already resting in her bedroom.
His 39-year-old brother attempted to intervene, but the older sibling allegedly threatened him with a cutter. The younger brother then grabbed a kitchen knife, triggering a scuffle between the two.
Their mother tried to break up the fight but was unable to separate them. During the struggle, the three fell to the ground.
