PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur – A 67‑year‑old farmer was arrested after allegedly stabbing his 64‑year‑old wife in Barangay Datu‑Tutukan, Dumingag in Zamboanga del Sur, on Tuesday evening.
Capt. Derf Jay Maquinta, spokesperson of the Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office (ZSPPO), said the incident occurred at around 6:40 p.m. while the victim was in a store.
Initial investigation revealed that the suspect attacked his wife with a bladed weapon locally known as “plamingko,” inflicting multiple stab wounds on her chest, back, and left hand.
