Minister for Energy Resources and Law R. Nirmalkumar inaugurated the Chief Minister’s Youth Sports Box Cricket Floodlight Pitch at Dr. M.G.R. Sports Stadium here on Saturday.To avail the facility, users must book the box cricket pitch by specifying their required time and paying the respective amount through the specially designed ‘Turf Town Mobile App.’The government has fixed the fee at ₹700/- + 18% GST per hour. The pitch would operate from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.To promote the sport of box cricket among youth and sports persons, the facility is established at a cost of ₹42 lakh on behalf of the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu.MLAs S.
