Minister for Energy Resources and Law R. Nirmalkumar, along with Madurai MP Su. Venkatesan, chaired a review meeting with various department officials here on Saturday.During this meeting, employment appointment orders were distributed to the legal heirs of deceased individuals who had served in the Rural Development Department and Social Welfare Department.Further, on behalf of the Agriculture Department and Horticulture Department, government welfare assistances worth ₹4.34 lakh were distributed to 55 beneficiaries.Speaking later at the review meeting, Mr. Nirmalkumar stated, “Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay desires to provide an honest administration to the people and is keen on ensuring government welfare schemes reach the public. Unlike the regimes in the past, he thinks of running an excellent and honest administration.”“Officials can offer their suggestions for that. Suggestions must be provided in a manner that ensure Tamil Nadu progresses in various sectors. As far as Madurai district is concerned, the groundwater level is depleting. Suggestions can be given to protect it, as well as for environmental-related issues,” he said.Subsequently, speaking at the event, Mr. Venkatesan said, “In the past, there were certain restrictions on honest officials; their hands were tied.”“Currently, that situation does not exist. Mr. Vijay desires to run an honest and transparent governance. This TVK regime is a golden era for such honest officials. Therefore, officials must function efficiently and take government welfare schemes to the people,” he stated.MLAs A. Kallanai, S.R. Thangapandi, So. Karthikeyan, M.M. Gopison, and Ma. Vijay, along with Collector Nishant Krishna, Corporation Commissioner Gaurav Kumar, City Police Commissioner S. Rajendiran and District Superintendent of Police N.
