Joseph Vijay in Chennai on Friday.City Commissioner of Police N. Kannan received the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service. Deputy Commissioners of Police G. Karthikeyan (Coimbatore South) and P. Thangadurai (Coimbatore North) received Union Home Minister’s Special Operation Award and Independence Day Police Medal for Meritorious Service respectively.Deputy Superintendent of Police C. Chandrasekar, Organised Crime Unit, Crime Branch CID, and Inspector M. Pugalmaran, Special Intelligence Cell, received Independence Day Police Medal for Meritorious Service. Assistant Commissioner of Police S. Ramesh, Control Room, was awarded Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Anna Medal.Inspectors S. Kaleeswari, Special Intelligence Cell, and A. Sivakumar, Station House Officer-R.S. Puram, received Asadharan Aasuchana Kushalata Padak and Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak respectively. Inspectors I. Sornavalli, All Women Police Station (South), and V. Jeganathan, Intelligence Section, were awarded Chief Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation.Home Guard Company Commander S.K. Subramanian; Sub-Inspectors K. Karthikeyan (Ukkadam station) and C. Chelladurai (Singanallur station); Special Sub-Inspectors K. Ramasamy (Special Branch CID), T. Thangavel (Crime Branch CID), R.
