The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) recorded 207 combat clashes over a 24-hour period ending at 10 p.m. on Friday, July 31, with the heaviest fighting concentrated around Pokrovsk.According to the General Staff, Russian forces carried out one missile strike using two missiles, 55 airstrikes involving 168 guided aerial bombs (KABs), and 1,953 shellings of both the AFU’s military positions and residential areas.JOIN US ON TELEGRAMFollow our coverage of the war on the @Kyivpost_official.The Russian forces deployed additional 6,415 kamikaze drones over the course of the day.Heaviest damage in PokrovskThe Pokrovsk axis saw the heaviest damage, with 28 attacks recorded as Russian forces attempted to advance near the settlements of Dorozhnie, Udachne, and Novooleksandrivka, among others.Two engagements in the area were still ongoing at the time of the report.According to preliminary data, the AFU eliminated 20 occupiers and wounded 11 in the region, while destroying four motor vehicles, one drone control point, and 208 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of various types.Two artillery systems, one motor vehicle, and 32 Russian personnel shelters were damaged in the Pokrovsk region as well.Fighting intensifies across multiple axesIn the Kostiantynivka axis, the AFU repelled 22 Russian assaults near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, and Rusyn Yar, with two engagements still underway at the time of the report.Farther north, in the Sloviansk axis, the AFU stopped 19 attempted advances near Zakitne, Kryva Luka, and Riznykivka.
