The Dakshina Kannada district administration has declared a holiday for all schools, anganwadis, and pre-university colleges in the district on Saturday, in view of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing an orange alert.The holiday is also applicable to polytechnics offering diploma courses, institutes offering ITI courses and all residential schools.
