Rescuers had hoped his heartbreaking tale would swiftly catch the eye of a caring adopter, but sadly nobody has stepped forward. In a deeply moving update posted on social media, the rescue wrote: "Do you remember Iasonas?".‌"The sweet boy who spent 10 years with the same family, only to lose everything when a new baby arrived. We hoped his story would touch someone's heart. We hoped someone would say, 'We'll take him'. But days have turned into weeks... And Iasonas is still there."‌The rescue says that each morning Iasonas wakes up behind kennel bars, still holding out hope that the next person to walk by will finally take him home."After spending 10 years in a home, shelter life is no place for a dog like Iasonas," they said."He doesn't understand why his world disappeared overnight."‌Yet despite all he has endured, rescuers say Iasonas has never lost his warm and loving nature.Loving Greek rescue dog ready for UK adoptionAged around 10 and weighing between 25kg and 26kg, he is described as gentle, calm and utterly devoted to people - making him the ideal companion for anyone considering opening their home to an older dog.‌"He doesn't need perfection.
