In a fresh boost to the Amaravati capital city project, the family of Meka Sambi Reddy has voluntarily come forward to contribute five acres of land under the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) for the development of the capital.The family, which owns the land in Penumaka village, submitted consent letters to hand over the five-acre parcel to the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) under the land pooling scheme, according to an official release issued on Friday. The documents were handed over to APCRDA Additional Commissioner Kollabathula Karthik at the authority’s headquarters in Rayapudi. Special Deputy Collector A. G. Chinnikrishna was present.Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sambi Reddy and his family said they were happy to become partners in the construction of Amaravati and were pleased to voluntarily contribute their land for the State capital project through the Land Pooling Scheme.The family appealed to residents of villages in the capital region to cooperate with APCRDA officials in the land pooling process to facilitate the development of Amaravati.According to the APCRDA, the family’s voluntary contribution reflects the continued participation of landowners in the capital city project and reinforces public support for the ongoing development of Amaravati.
