A former printing press in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is set to be turned into a data center.

Real estate firm Legacy Investing this week announced it has officially entered into a purchase agreement with the Minnesota Star Tribune to acquire the Heritage Printing Facility in Minneapolis. The Star Tribune broke the news.

“For decades, this site helped tell Minnesota's story. We're proud to carry that legacy forward. Our plans take a hybrid approach to urban redevelopment, pairing essential digital infrastructure with complementary mixed-use components,” the company said on LinkedIn. “The next chapter will be anchored by a next-generation data center as part of a broader master redevelopment plan, with more details to come.”

The sale is expected to close in Q4 2026. Terms of the deal weren’t shared. The plant was previously valued at an estimated $20 million.
