Democratic Bulgaria (DB) called for the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister Ivo Hristov, accusing the government of operating without a clear management program and criticizing its domestic and foreign policies.
The demand was presented by DB MP Nadezhda Yordanova, who read a declaration on behalf of the parliamentary group. She claimed that the government's program had never been presented publicly and that officials had only referred to its existence without providing details.
"There is no management program. There are only the television appearances of Deputy Prime Minister Ivo Hristov, who informed us that the program, although it does not exist, was actually already being implemented," Yordanova said.
She added that the public had not seen the document or learned what it contained, while the government's budget decisions were presented as proof that such a program existed. "The only thing for which there are already sufficient grounds is the resignation of Ivo Hristov, who is responsible for the existence of the program," she said.
According to the DB declaration, the policies of the Radev cabinet could be summarized as "debt instead of reforms, personnel replacement instead of dismantling." The coalition also criticized the government's foreign policy, saying it was based not on principles and values but on short-term agreements, contradictory messages and ambiguity.
