A Russian Kh-101 cruise missile, manufactured in the second quarter of 2026 in the Moscow region, crashed yesterday in the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland.
According to a Ukrinform correspondent, Marcin Kozak, a spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin, announced this during a media briefing on Friday.
“Preliminary examination of the site and the traces found, that is, fragments of the aerial object, allows us to unequivocally confirm what kind of object we are dealing with. It is a Kh-101 missile, manufactured in the second quarter of 2026 at one of the facilities in the Moscow region,” Kozak stated.
He also noted that a Ukrainian expert arrived in Poland on Thursday evening and helped identify the object.
As reported by Ukrinform, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed that during a massive Russian missile attack on Ukraine on Wednesday night, one of the Russian Kh-101 cruise missiles violated Polish airspace and crashed approximately 50 kilometers from Lublin.
