An analysis of fragments of the Russian Kh-101 cruise missile that fell on Polish territory during Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine on Thursday shows that it was manufactured only in the second quarter of this year, confirming that Russia’s missile reserves are being depleted.
Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz highlighted this on X, emphasizing the need for continued support for Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.
According to the Minister, Polish experts, including specialists from the Military Police, are continuing an intensive examination of the missile fragments found after the crash in the Lublin Voivodeship.
He said investigators determined that the missile was manufactured in the second quarter of 2026 at a facility near Moscow.
“This means that Russia is using missiles against Ukraine that are being produced practically in real time. This confirms information that Russian military stockpiles have been depleted,” the Polish Defense Minister said.
