An Hanover Park father believes his son is being influenced by a group of boys involved in stone throwing incidents and fears the behaviour could ultimately lead to gangsterism or death.
"He must die if he doesn't want to listen."
Those are the desperate words of a Hanover Park father who fears his 14-year-old Grade 7 son is on a path towards gang life after three teenagers believed to be involved in stone throwing incidents were shot this week.
The father, whose identity is being withheld to protect his family, said he had sought help from social workers at his son's school, social workers at social services and even the magistrate at Wynberg Court, but had reached a point where he no longer knew how to stop his son's behaviour.
