The government of Prime Minister Rumen Radev enters its first 100 days in office with a positive public assessment, but voters are increasingly looking for concrete results, according to a national representative survey by Alpha Research.
The poll was conducted between July 17 and 23 among 1,000 adult citizens across Bulgaria and was financed by the agency itself. The data was collected through direct standardized interviews using tablets at respondents’ homes.
According to the survey, 42% of respondents approve of the cabinet’s work, while 33% give it a negative assessment. Prime Minister Rumen Radev receives a higher personal rating, with 48% expressing trust in him and 31% distrust. Another 21% remain undecided.
Alpha Research sociologist Genoveva Petrova said the government is still benefiting from the prime minister’s personal popularity, but this support remains conditional.
“This support is somewhat conditional, because we can already see critical attitudes toward policies that are being implemented or at least initiated by the government. Behind this support there is still no firm belief that the government is working successfully and meeting its commitments,” Petrova said.
