In Kyiv, law enforcement officials have charged a 19-year-old man with attempted murder after he stabbed three men in the Dniprovskyi district.

According to Ukrinform, the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office announced this.

The suspect has been charged under Part 4 of Article 296, Part 2 of Article 15, Part 1 of Article 115, and Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (committing hooliganism, attempted murder, and causing severe bodily injury).

It has been established that “on the evening of July 26, the suspect, a student at one of Kyiv’s educational institutions, was walking with a young woman in the Health Zone in the Dniprovskyi district. He got into a conflict with a 29-year-old man who was walking nearby. The suspect allegedly hurled profanities at him after the man glanced in his direction.”

According to the prosecutor’s office, “later, they ran into each other by chance near a store. There, the student pulled out a knife and stabbed the man once. The injured man left the scene of the altercation. Passersby tried to calm the attacker down and detain him, demanding that he hand over the knife. A scuffle ensued."
