MANILA, Philippines — Two earthquakes struck off the waters of Sarangani in Davao Occidental on Wednesday evening, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its separate earthquake bulletins, Phivolcs said that the earthquakes were aftershocks of magnitude 7.8 offshore earthquake in Sarangani last June 8 and magnitude 6.5 offshore earthquake in Davao Occidental last June 26. Both earthquakes were tectonic in origin and had a depth of 10 kilometers (km).

Phivolcs noted that the epicenter of the first earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 was located 28 km west of Sarangani in Davao Occidental at 9:16 p.m. It had the following instrumental intensities:FEATURED STORIES
