In this video, Ilana Schlam, MD, MPH, discusses current treatment options for patients with early-stage or metastatic triple-negative breast cancer, including recent approvals of antibody-drug conjugates in the first-line setting.
“This is new and this is very exciting, because in all of these trials the [antibody-drug conjugate (ADC)] was compared with chemotherapy and the ADC performed better,” Schlam, breast medical oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, said. “So, it’s really important that we know about this and that we start treating the patients with these now standard first-line treatments.
