BLAST Premier is rolling out the draft order for its Bounty Season 2 2026 tonight at 20:00 CEST, kicking off a Counter-Strike tournament with a prize pool exceeding $740,000. The event, which runs from July 21 to August 2 at BLAST Studios in Malta, features 32 teams and a unique “bounty” mechanic that lets competitors claim portions of defeated opponents’ prize allocations as they advance.
How the Bounty Draft works
The draft format is designed to let lower-seeded teams pick their opponents in a public, televised selection process. The draft order starts with 3DMAX in the first position, followed by HEROIC, Alliance, and Gentle Mates. Teams seeded in the 5-8 range get to strategically choose their matchups before the rounds of 32 or 16 begin.
The underdogs get first dibs on who they play, which means the opening rounds aren’t predetermined. They’re chosen live, on camera, with all the tension that comes from watching a team publicly call out their preferred opponent.
BLAST ran a similar live-draft model during Bounty Season 1 back in January 2026. The bounty mechanic itself adds another layer. As teams defeat opponents, they absorb portions of the losing team’s bounty allocation, meaning the prize pool isn’t static. It shifts dynamically throughout the tournament, creating a cumulative effect where early-round results reshape the financial stakes of later matches.
